British Embassy Bilateral Programme Fund in Turkey

The British Embassy in Ankara invites eligible organisations to submit project proposals for funding under the Bilateral Programme Fund.

Thematic Areas

• Women and Girls Thematic Area
  • Improved Access to Education and Skills Training
  • Economic Empowerment
• Social Foundations Thematic Area
  • Improved Media Capacity and Training of Journalists
  • Greater Public Awareness of Climate and Gender Issues
  • Strengthened Civic Space

Funding Information

• A total of £100,000 is available for projects in two thematic areas, with £50,000 allocated to each.

Eligible Activities

• The following types of activities are eligible under this funding:
  • conferences, seminars.
  • training activities.
  • advocacy missions.
  • other activities that help achieve the outcomes listed above.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant organisation must be legally recognised (has ‘legal personality’) and they must be based in Turkey.
• The call for bid is not open for commercial organisations and individuals. Any proposals from for-profit organisations for grant funding can only be considered if an officially registered non-profit making arm or division of the for-profit organisation will deliver the project.
• Potential implementers are allowed to combine efforts and submit their project proposals in a consortium of several organisations (implementers). Those could be international and local non-governmental organisations, multilateral organisations, universities, ministries and municipalities.
