Japan Water Forum has announced a call for applications for the JWF Fund 2020.
Objectives
- Japan Water Form Fund (JWF Fund) will provide grants for organizations in developing countries which aim at solving water-related issues at grassroots level.
- Considering that clean water, sanitation and hygiene also play a vital role in preventing infectious diseases including COVID-19, they will highly appreciate proposals of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects this year.
- They hope that JWF Fund will be a small but certain step to solve water-related issues while meeting local needs as well as utilizing local resources and knowledge.
Funding Information
- Every year, JWF publicly seeks out projects to support. Those adopted after due assessment are eligible for funding of up to 1,000 USD per project.
- JWF Fund is formed and operated by utilizing membership fees of JWF and donations to Charity for Water.
- During the past 15 years, JWF Fund supported 177 projects in 32 countries, benefiting more than 200,000 people.
Eligibility Criteria
- The local grassroots organizations that work in countries/territories below can apply for the JWF Fund.
- National governments, local governments, private companies and religious groups cannot apply for the fund.
