The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Türkiye calls to submit applications for the implementation of the projects of the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme in the Republic of Türkiye in 2024.
The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania calls for submission of applications for projects for the implementation of the following concept in the field of environment protection and addressing climate change challenges.
Aim
- To support Turkish nongovernmental and local institutions in their environment protection efforts
Areas of Cooperation
- Climate change, Environment protection
Objectives
- Re-creation of green areas, specifically forests in Türkiye, affected by wildfires in the past 3 years, allocating no less than 70 percent of project funds provided by the Embassy for acquisition of the plants (saplings);
- Information campaign about the environment protection, importance of protecting, maintaining and creating new green spaces;
- Involvement of local communities, especially youth, into green space re-creation activities.
Funding Information
- 12 550 EUR will be allocated to the project in 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applications for a project shall contain a partner in Lithuania. A partner in Türkiye is not obligatory, when the project is being submitted by a subject registered in Türkiye or by an international organization.
