The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is calling applications for Uzbekistan Women Leaders Caucus Platform to increase the role of women leaders in the regions in the implementation of reforms to ensure gender equality and protect the women’s rights and interests of the country.
This platform was introduced for active women working in various fields in each region in order to expand and unite the leading women of Uzbekistan.
The Uzbekistan Women Leaders Caucus Platform organizes roundtables on various issues for leading women who are not indifferent to public issues and can share a new approach to issues based on their experience.
Communication mechanisms
- The Uzbekistan Women Leaders Caucus Platform will be held in 14 regions of the country.
- One deputy, one woman senator and two representatives from such fields as entrepreneurship, science, information technology, sports, media, including women with disabilities will be selected from each region. A total of 182 leading women from Uzbekistan will shape the Uzbekistan Women Leaders Caucus Platform.
- The Uzbekistan Women Leaders Caucus Platform will be chaired in one region for one year. The term of the chairmanship is 1 (one) year.
Compliance requirements
Applications that do not meet these requirements will be disqualified and will not be considered by the selection committee.
- You must be over 18 years of age at the time of applying;
- You must have at least two years of professional, leadership and volunteer experience at the time of applying;
- You are a citizen of Uzbekistan and have lived and worked in Uzbekistan for at least 5 years;
- You must have been involved in business, science, information technology, sports, media.
Selection procedure
- In the first stage, a shortlist of the most suitable representatives will be compiled upon reviewing the applications received.
- The second stage is a one-on-one interview with shortlisted candidates.
- Candidates who successfully pass these two stages will be invited to the Uzbekistan Women Leaders Caucus Platform.
