Are you a grassroots advocacy group seeking to make a difference in the development of young children? The Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN) is currently accepting applications for seed grants to support your efforts.

The Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN) is established as an organization to champion excellence and collaboration in protecting children’s rights, influence policy and practice, strengthen partnerships, and share experiences and knowledge in Early Childhood Development (ECD) across Africa.

AfECN’s vision is for all children in Africa to grow up in safe, healthy, stimulating, and happy environments; able to thrive and achieve their full potential. As part of realizing its vision, AfECN would like to partner with in country networks and advocacy groups to increase advocacy efforts for positive early childhood outcomes in Africa.

Consequently, AfECN is issuing this first round of call for expressions of interest to grassroots organizations, networks and special interest groups, media, ECD advocates, professional associations, collaboratives or advocacy groups operating in Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique. Proposals could focus on various advocacy issues related to the development of young children from pre-natal stage to 5 years.
