The Kalulushi Municipal Council is inviting applications for the grant empowerment from youths, women, people living with disabilities and other vulnerable persons in Kalulushi Constituency.
Focus Areas
- Ward development committees should encourage applicants have projects be dedicated to the following:
- Community resilience building activities against climate change under disaster and community projects components.
Funding Information
- Cooperatives, Clubs, Associations and organized groups may qualify for a maximum of k40,000 as a one-off grant.
Eligible Activities
- The activities eligible for funding towards community resilience building against climate change include the following:
- Provision of water for production purposes
- Provision of irrigation facilities for small scale farmers with (irrigation, pipes, soar pumps, tanks, pumps panels etc.)
- Provision of inputs (seed. Fertilizer, insecticides etc.)
- Provision of capacity building to households/class/cooperatives in resilience building with the view to increase productivity
- Any other interventions as may be approved by the ministry through the established structures.
Eligibility Criteria
- Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must have legally registered cooperatives. Clubs, associations and organized groups (registered with PACRA, registrar of NGOS, Zambia agency of people with disabilities, registrar of cooperatives, local authorities, national construction council (NCC), national youth development council (NYDC), and other registration bodies)
- Must have a minimum of ten (10) members;
- Proof of a bank account or mobile wallet registered for the group;
- Proposals for empowerment shall provide employment opportunities;
- The proposed project is being undertaken within the constituency;
- Applicants must have been residents in the constituency for over 6 months.
