The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) invites not profit-making organisations to submit grant proposals that focus on Building Back Better from COVID-19 in the Arab States by Applying the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and Enabling a Prevention-Oriented and Risk-Informed Approach.
- In Ismailia:
- Apply the Public Health Sector Resilience Scorecard Addendum while organizing workshops with local governments and stakeholders to develop their capacities along the process; and
- Based on the findings of the assessment, revise the Local Resilience Action Plan in Ismailia city in a consultative manner with local governments and stakeholders.
- In Alexandria and Sharm El-Sheikh:
- Carry out a detailed resilience scorecard assessment based on the Ten Essentials of Making Cities Resilient and apply the Public Health Sector Resilience Scorecard Addendum including organizing workshops with local governments and stakeholders to develop their capacities along the process; and
- Based on the findings of the assessments, develop the Local Resilience Action Plan in both cities in a consultative manner with local governments and stakeholders.
- The maximum amount requested from UNDRR for the implementation of this project cannot exceed 45,000 USD.
- The duration of the proposed project cannot exceed 31 January 2022.
- Workshops with local government focal points and stakeholders are planned to develop their capacity in applying the scorecard assessment tools and ensure they are consulted along the process of revising/developing the Local Resilience Action Plans.
- Applicants are required to indicate a plan for implementation, taking into consideration challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
