The Cooperation Department of the Embassy of France in residence in Saint Lucia is launching a call for proposal for Micro Projects in the region (OECS member countries, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Suriname, and Guyana).
Objectives
- The objective of this programme is to bring out priority projects developed by civil society actors. The projects must respond to a local need which has to be detailed in the project sheet. It aims to implement innovative solutions by mobilizing several development actors.
- This programme aims to develop short-term projects, for which the duration must be less than six months as of the notification of the grant until the closure of the budget. Projects with visible and rapid impacts are therefore the core target of this programme.
- The programme also aims to strengthen resilience to climate change and to promote ecologically viable and sustainable activities. It should also encourage the exchange of knowledge between the different actors involved and the population.

- Projects will receive special attention if they integrate one or more of the cross-cutting themes below:
- Preservation of the environment
- Youth Support
- Regional integration: projects with a regional dimension will be carefully evaluated and will be all the more appreciated if they include partners from French OECS member territories (Martinique, Guadeloupe).
- Improvement of gender equality
- Projects will receive special attention if they integrate one or more of the cross-cutting themes below:
Funding Information
- Grants awarded by SCAC will be between 2000 and 5000 euros (to be converted according to the currency of the country).
- Participation will be requested from the beneficiary; this participation guarantees the total involvement of the beneficiary and is a guarantee of sustainability. This participation must correspond to a minimum of 25% of the total cost of the project.
- The project submitted to the SCAC should not exceed 6 months.

Any project within the SCAC area of competence of the French Embassy in residence in Saint Lucia is eligible. The list of countries is available below:
