The NGO Development Center is pleased to announce the availability of funding to Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating in the West Bank, through a call for proposals under the “Social Recovery and Job Creation Project”.
The call for proposals is dedicated to support women and persons with disabilities (PWD) to grow and sustain existing businesses or create new ones.
The project aims to improve both business management practices and access to finance. Grant funding will be provided under the project for individuals and for groups of women/cooperatives to sustain and scale businesses and offered to grantees without any additional funding stipulations.
Funding Information
- The requested grant amount should be a minimum of US$500,000 and a maximum of US$1 million.
- Grant funding will be provided to beneficiaries in the range of US$1,000 to $30,000 for individuals and up to US$60,000 for groups of women/cooperatives.
- Duration: Sub-project duration cannot exceed 24 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for a grant under this call, the applicant NGOs in the West Bank are allowed to submit only one sub-project proposal. Applicant NGOs must fulfil all the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicant institution is Palestinian non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan organization.
- Applicant has been officially registered for at least 5 years by the date of submission of the proposal and is able to provide evidence of legal registration.
- Applicant has been operating in the West Bank for at least 3 years.
- Applicant has an operational bank account from an accredited bank and evidence has been provided.
- Applicant has a demonstrable track record working on income generation/job creation projects with women and/or PWD.
- Applicant’s financial and administrative systems are deemed adequate.
- The average annual total disbursement over the last three accounting periods is not less than USD 500,000.
