In response to (CASI) Community Activation and Social Isolation Initiative, Yarriambiack Shire Council is inviting community groups and organisations to run activities and events, that will encourage members of the community who are vulnerable and socially isolated to reconnect with each other in a Covid -19 safe way. This may be in person or via an online platform.
Yarriambiack Shire Council in partnership with the Victorian State Government is releasing a one-off Community Grant targeted at community groups, recreation & sporting clubs, and neighborhood houses.
Funding Information
- The funding offers grant amounts of between $1,000 and $5,000 for groups and clubs to provide opportunities for community members to reconnect following the impact of Covid.
CASI outcomes
The organisations running the activities/events need to ensure that they can meet the CASI outcomes which are:
- Isolated and Vulnerable people receive the support and resources they need to be healthy and we during covid-19 response and recovery.
- Isolated and Vulnerable people have new and existing social connections in their local communities.
- Relationships between community and volunteer organisations that support vulnerable people are strengthened to deliver support to isolated and vulnerable people.
