Applications are now open for the Community Safety Grants to maintain the highest standards of safety and reliability for the people, the customers, and the communities in which they work.
As a fundamental part of their culture and operations, every member of the BGE team is dedicated to putting safety first.
They recognize the significance of enhancing the quality of life in the communities in which they serve by strategically investing in projects that positively influence the safety, resilience, and vibrancy of neighborhoods. To accomplish this, they will invest in collaborations with community organizations who share this goal and are committed to partnership with emergency responders. This will ensure a comprehensive approach to safety and resiliency in the communities.

Funding Information
- Grant range – $2,500-$10,000
- Project must be completed by June 2025.
Criteria
- Organization must be a 501c3 non-profit.
- The project must be geographically located in the BGE service territory. BGE Service Zip Codes
- Grants are considered for new and existing programs that fall within the description guidelines and requests funding that clearly demonstrates collaboration in response efforts to urgent needs of the community.
- All applications must include a project budget indicating how the grant will be spent.
- Applicants requesting funding for basic operating expenses or capital projects will not be accepted.
- Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by June 2024.
- Organizations who receive a Community Safety Grant will not be eligible for another grant in 2024.
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
