The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa has opened a call for proposals for local transformation projects to be implemented in Ethiopia, the Comoros and South Sudan.
Local transformation projects are part of the Czech Human Rights and Transition Policy which stands on coherence, credibility and openness. Proposed transformative cooperation projects must be in line with the priorities of human rights promotion and transformative cooperation and should include for example:
- support to civil society;
- promotion of equality and non-discrimination;
- the promotion of human rights in the areas of employment and environment.
Funding Information
- The Czech financial contribution for the project is 100,000 CZK – 500,000 CZK (co-financing from other sources is optional but desirable).
Duration
- The project implementation must start on or after March 1, 2025 and must be completed by October 31, 2025,
Eligibility Criteria
- Funds are allocated to non-political and non-governmental group only,
- Implementer of the local transformation project is a local subject with legal personality in the country of the project implementation,
- Implementer must be eligible to sign contract with MFA CZ that establishes jurisdiction of Czech laws and Czech courts.
