Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and Department for International Development are seeking stage 1 applications for 23rd round of Darwin Initiative main projects funding. Darwin is the UK’s primary mechanism to champion biodiversity conservation and support the development of vibrant in-country conservation sectors.

The Darwin Initiative is a UK government grants scheme that helps to protect biodiversity and the natural environment in developing countries and UK Overseas Territories (OTs). Darwin-funded projects usually aim to help preserve biodiversity and the local community that lives alongside it.
