The Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control – National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), is seeking applications for its program entitled “National Sexual Violence Technical Assistance Resource Center for Prevention of Sexual Violence”.
The purpose of this NOFO is to fund a national technical assistance resource center that will support and strengthen the SV prevention field, enhance RPE program recipient’s capacity to plan, implement, and evaluate promising practices or primary prevention efforts that are based on the best available evidence.

Expected Outcomes
- Measurable outcomes are essential for determining the extent to which the NOFO strategies and activities are successful. The recipient is only expected to achieve the short-term and intermediate outcomes during the NOFO period of performance. The Evaluation and Performance Measurement section below further describes the methods for evaluation and performance monitoring of this NOFO, and provides examples of measures for these outcomes.
- The recipient is expected to achieve the following short-term outcomes within the first three years of the project:
- Increase RPE recipient’s access to implementation, evaluation and translation resources that promote using the best available evidence for SV prevention
- Increase in RPE recipient’s understanding and ability to identify SV prevention efforts based on the best available evidence
- Increase interactions and exchanges of ideas/information of SV practitioners
- Increase TA and capacity building for SV prevention through peer learning
- The recipient is expected to achieve the following intermediate outcomes within 3 to 5 years of the project:
- Increase RPE recipient’s ability to demonstrate the impact of SV prevention programs
- Increase RPE recipient’s ability to increase capacity to translate program efforts and evaluation findings for key stakeholders
- Increase capacity of RPE recipients to evaluate SV prevention programs
- The recipient is expected to achieve the following short-term outcomes within the first three years of the project:
