DHHS/NIH: Characterization of the Adolescent Reproductive Transition

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking applications from eligible organisations for a program entitled “Characterization of the Adolescent Reproductive Transition” to support outstanding research in the area of puberty and the trajectory of sexual development.

The objective of this initiative is to fill gaps in the knowledge of the transition period from childhood to adulthood, and to elucidate trajectories of progression towards adult reproductive function. Investigation of various aspects of adolescent health concurrently and over time, in the context of socioeconomic, geographic or cultural influences will inform understanding of adolescent health and disease.
