The Elmley Foundation is seeking applications for Small Grants Arts Fund to support small, local projects.
The scheme is administered on behalf of the Foundation by Community First, the Community Council for Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Types of Grants
- Events and Activities Grant
- The Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund is a scheme designed for community groups who want to pay professional artists to open up new opportunities to create new work, reach new audiences and enable people from all walks of life to take part in arts and cultural activities.
- Arts Equipment Grant
- The Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund has a capital scheme to help with the purchase by community groups of arts equipment for small, local projects.
Funding Information
- Events and Activities Grant
- Have a total cost of no more than £10,000 you can apply for the total cost of your project, up to the maximum £1,000.
- Arts Equipments Grant
- Have a total cost of no more than £5,000 you can apply for the total cost if this does not exceed £1,000.
Eligible Projects
- Events and Activities Grant
- Priority will be given to projects which address one or more of the following:
- Are locally generated and controlled.
- Demonstrate artistic vision and imagination.
- Happen in areas where there is little or no existing arts activity.
- Encourage and develop participation in new arts activities.
- Encourage new audiences to experience high quality arts activities.
- Enable the involvement of people who might otherwise be prevented or deterred from participating.
- Priority will be given to projects which address one or more of the following:
- Arts Equipments Grant
- Priority will be given to purchases which feature one or more of the following:
- Are locally generated and controlled.
- Equipment used regularly or where there are plansfor long‐term usage.
- Located in areas where there is little or no existing arts activity.
- Encourage and develop participation in new arts activities.
- Encourage new audiences to experience high quality arts activities.
- Equipment which will be used by more than one group.
- Small local community projects.
- Priority will be given to purchases which feature one or more of the following:
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for a grant from this Fund, your application must:
- Take place within the Counties of Herefordshire or Worcestershire.
- Involve expenditure on professional artists in its creation or development.
Ineligible
- Events and Activities Grant
- They will not fund:
- Applications from schools or other educational organisations; Local Authorities or other statutory bodies.
- Activities exclusively for school children or college students in school/college time.
- Applications from individuals.
- Projects where the person submitting the application will get paid from the grant.
- Projects with a total cost of over £10,000.
- Projects which have already started or taken place.
- Events intended to raise funds for non‐arts causes.
- Requests to pay off loans or deficits.
- They will not fund:
- Arts Equipment Grant
- They will not fund:
- Applications from schools or other educational organisations; Local Authorities or other statutory bodies.
- Activities exclusively for school children or college students in school/college time.
- Applications from individuals.
- Purchases with a total cost of over £5,000.
- Requests to pay off loans or deficits.
- Items which have already been purchased.
- Computer hardware or software; cameras and camcorders; costume and clothing; sets, consumables and materials for one‐off productions or activities.
