Ettijahat – Independent Culture is pleased to announce a new call for applications for Art Lab Programme to support their creative practices to be interactive with their current workplaces and conditions, and to enhance various forms of artistic and creative expression and the ability of female artists and artists to continue artistic production, which creates a lively dialogue and enhances creativity and its values within the environments in which they are active.
The program supports freedom of artistic and literary expression and spaces for creativity and innovation, with the aim of making the production of supported artists available in the Arab region and Europe.
The program supports all creative fields in five categories: cinema and animation, visual arts, creative writing, performing arts, and music. Starting with this session, the program provides twenty annual grants ranging from six thousand dollars in the categories of visual arts, creative writing and music, to ten thousand dollars for one grant in the categories of cinema, animation and performing arts, from which Syrian and Palestinian artists and artists will benefit.
Conditions
- Syrian artists and artists those under their rule among the Palestinian Syrians are entitled to apply to the program from residents of Syria, the Arab region and European countries.
- All actresses and artists are entitled to apply for all age groups
- Initiatives, institutions and artistic gatherings are eligible to apply to the program
- Female graduates and recipients of program support are not eligible to apply in 2019 and 2020
- The program does not support endless training and workshop projects with an artistic product
- Independent and specialized committees from various cultural fields study the requests, and the committees remain confidential until the results are announced
- Applications that do not conform in terms of content to the evaluation criteria will not be considered, and incomplete applications that lack one of the required documents will not be considered: a request to apply for participation by filling out the complete form, a copy of the applicant’s personal identity / passport, samples from Previous work, as well as samples of the work produced to be supported
- Work performed in advance will not be considered
- Grantees and recipients own full rights to the artistic product while preserving the mention of Etjaz – Independent Culture
- Ettijahat – Independent Culture has the right to publish and use parts of the product during and after the implementation of artistic projects in coordination with the owners
- Only the owners of the projects that will be supported are informed, and the results will be published on the Etisalat website and on the Foundation’s Facebook page
Evaluation Criteria
- Only applications that meet all the announced conditions are studied, and a specialized technical committee within each category selects four projects to be supported. Arbitration committees consider applications submitted based on the following criteria:
- Realizability: This criterion depends on the proposed project form and the additional supporting files, including the budget and time plan, the quality of the technical proposal and its objectives, the technical vision and motives of the project owner, and the extent of the viability of the project.
- Relevancy and currentity: This criterion is concerned with the artistic vision and presentation and the questions posed by the project and the extent of its relevance and relevance to the contemporary art scene.
- Novelty and Innovation: This criterion focuses on the novelty of the artistic offering, and the extent of innovation that the proposed project will carry
