EU Call for Proposals: Country-Based Support Schemes (CBSS) 2016/17 for Uzbekistan

BJA: Upholding the Rule of Law and Preventing Wrongful Convictions Program (US)

The European Union (EU) is currently accepting proposals from eligible organisations for a program entitled “Country-Based Support Schemes (CBSS) 2016/17 – Uzbekistan” to support actions promoting a conducive environment for civil society organizations, developing capacity of civil society organizations and human rights defenders and supporting their activities focused on the enhancement of democracy, transparency, accountability and respect for human rights.

Objectives

Size of Grants

Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between EUR 250.000 and EUR 400.000.

Location

Actions must take place in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Duration

The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.

In order to apply for the grants, applicants have to register themselves in PADOR, an on-line database via given website.

Eligible Countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK, Uzbekistan.
