The European Union (EU) has announced a Call for Proposals for operational research on the effectiveness of nutrition actions towards reducing undernutrition in Angola (FRESAN-Component IV).

The global objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to evidence and knowledge transfer on the effectiveness of different nutrition-related actions, in the context of Angola, to curb undernutrition in children and reduce under-five mortality.

Priority Target Groups

Target groups in FRESAN programme are the groups most vulnerable to food insecurity and undernutrition:

Other target groups could be considered (such as economic actors represented by rural organisations) if the action aimed at these groups effectively contributes to improving nutrition security in the target geographic areas.

Funding Information

The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 6 000 000.

Size of Grants

Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:

Duration

The initial planned duration of an action may not exceed 48 months.

Location

Actions must take place in the following provinces of Angola: Cunene and Huila.
