The Sandbox Impact Program is now open for applications that continue to prioritize the needs of the most vulnerable Canadian children and youth.
The interest and range of submissions were incredible and helped build new partnerships and carry out projects that would have been difficult to accomplish by one organization or individuals alone. That is what The Sandbox Project is all about.
In-Kind Services
The Sandbox Impact Program has partnered with Altus Group to provide program partners access to skills and expertise housed within Altus Group. Project partners will identify the support they need most and work closely with Altus Group team volunteers for a total of 10-12 hours over the project span to help build skills and knowledge. The in-kind support includes:
- Fundraising
- Marketing and branding
- Legal and Governance (including Board matters)
- Financial management
- Eligible partnerships in need of other in-kind skills are still encouraged to apply and submit an Expression of Interest form.
Priority Areas
- The four focus areas of this program are:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Social determinants of health and vulnerable populations
- Improving access to services and programs for caregivers, youth and children
- Filling data gaps that exist in the sector
Priority is given to applications that seek to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable and equity deserving children and youth.
Funding Information
- Applicants may request up to $4500 in addition to any of the in-kind services offered.
- Benefits to Partners of The Sandbox Impact Program
- Program partners will benefit from the multi-sector coordination and collaboration expertise that The Sandbox Project brings. Other benefits include:
- Gain valuable in-kind skills and expertise
- Expand your network
- Uncover and leverage existing capacity
- Address key aspects of your work that may not be covered by traditional program funding (i.e., convening, networking, hosting query sessions)
Eligibility Criteria
- They are seeking projects that focus on improving health and wellbeing outcomes for children and youth in Canada. They support new approaches, ideas that further their understanding of challenges and/or create interventions that catalyze change in the sector.
- Partnership with Sandbox Impact Program is available to project teams supporting child and youth-focused initiatives in Canada. Project teams must be composed of:
- A minimum of one young person (aged 25 or younger) or youth-led initiative
- One charity, not-for-profit organization, or foundation
- Team Members from at least two other organizations whose area of focus is:
- Research, Healthcare or Policy
