The Community Foundation in Wales is pleased to announce the Flintshire Community Endowment and Welsh Church Act Fund Programme.
Aims
- Flintshire Community Endowment
- The Flintshire Community Endowment Fund supports:
- Projects that provide the educational development of school aged children and young people
- Projects that provide the educational development of children in the early years
- School based projects that encourage healthy living
- The Flintshire Community Endowment Fund supports:
- Flintshire Welsh Church Act Fund
- The fund supports:
- Projects that contribute to the refurbishment and upkeep of churches, chapels and community/village halls within the county.
- Projects working to address disadvantage to benefit Flintshire residents.
- Projects providing social and recreational activities for Flintshire residents
- The fund supports:

- Flintshire Community Endowment Fund
- Organisations can apply for grants up to £1,000 a year for up to three years.
- Flintshire Welsh Church Act Fund
- Churches and organisations can apply for grants up to £1,000 a year for up to three years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Flintshire Community Endowment Fund
- Groups and organisations in the Local Authority area of Flintshire running projects which fall outside statutory provision. (E.g. after school clubs, breakfast clubs, gardening projects etc.)
- Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate exactly how they will meet the Fund’s objectives and priorities, and who have not previously received support from this Fund.
- Flintshire Welsh Church Act Fund
- Churches and organisations in the Local Authority area of Flintshire running projects working with residents of the Local Authority area of Flintshire.
- Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate exactly how they will meet the Fund’s objectives and priorities, and who have not previously received support from this Fund
Ineligibility Criteria
- Grants will not be awarded retrospectively i.e. for costs incurred before receipt of the grant offer letter, and the signed terms and conditions have been returned.
- Grants are not available to support fundraising for other groups and charities.
- Grants must be fully spent within one year of receipt of the offer letter.
- The application must show a clear need for financial support, financial hardship or additional support needs.
