Focus Areas
UnLtd have two focus areas where they think social entrepreneurs can make a big difference. They have dedicated teams and specialist support available to social entrepreneurs with ideas to help people in these areas.
- Healthy ageing: You have an idea or a business which will help the UK become a better place to grow old. For example, you could be helping older people to enjoy physical exercise, creating better quality dementia care or working to allow older people to remain independently in their own homes for longer.
- Access to employment: You have an idea or a business aimed at helping people into good jobs and meaningful employment, particularly those who are currently denied those opportunities – such as ex-offenders, people with learning differences, and/or disabled people.
- Starting your social business – Up to £5,000: They can support people from the early stages of forming an idea, to those who have been trading for under a year, whether or not you have already established your organisation. This includes exploring ways to increase your impact, establish your financial sustainability and grow as a social leader.
- Growing your social business – Up to £15,000: You are already running a social business that is making a positive difference and you have compelling evidence of your impact. You are looking for the support to realise your potential to grow your impact and expand.

- Dedicated support manager: Someone to coach, mentor and support you to achieve your goals
- Access to expert mentors and pro bono support: Expert advice and mentoring through the generous community of business professionals, corporate partners and social entrepreneurs who volunteer their skills and expertise
