Holiday Grants Programme: Inviting Youth Groups and Not for Profit Organisations to support Disadvantaged Children of UK

Deadline: 28 February 2019

The Henry Smith Charity is seeking applications for the Holiday Grants programme for recreational trips and holidays for groups of children aged 13 and under in the UK who are disabled or disadvantaged.

The purpose of the Holiday Grants programme is to provide access to recreational trips or holidays for groups of children who experience disadvantage or who have disabilities. In particular they are interested in contributing to trips that would not take place without our funding.

The Henry Smith Charity is an independent grant making trust. They aim to bring about lasting change to people’s lives helping them benefit from and contribute to society.

The charity was founded in 1628 by Henry Smith, a businessman working in the City of London. Since then, they have honoured the spirit of Henry Smith’s will, working to combat disadvantage and meet the challenges and opportunities facing people in need throughout the UK. Today, The Henry Smith Charity is amongst the largest independent grant makers in the UK, distributing over £30 million in 2017.
