Bloomberg Initiative To Reduce Tobacco Use announces Strategic Grant Round 28

Deadline: 15 December 2017

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Cancer Research UK (CRUK) have announced a Call for Concept Notes on The Economics of Tobacco Control in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) as part of their Economics of Tobacco Control Research Initiative. The Initiative is a five-year partnership between IDRC and CRUK that aims to address the development challenges posed by tobacco use in low- and middle-income countries.

The general objective of the Call is to generate evidence that provides the economic rationale for the prevention of tobacco-related diseases and the adoption of tobacco-control policies across LMICs in four regions: Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle-East-and-North-Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
