NIHCM Foundation is seeking applications for the Journalism Grants to provide funding for health reporting, educational opportunities for health care reporters and support for documentary films and their public engagement campaigns.
NIHCM Foundation supports timely health care journalism that informs efforts to improve the health of Americans and that examines emerging health issues and their implications for cost, quality and access.
NIHCM Foundation wishes to support innovative journalism covering consumer health and health care.

Funding Information
NIHCM Foundation is making a total of $1 million available to support their journalism and research grant programs. This funding will be allocated across the two programs according to the merits of the proposals received.
Eligibility Criteria
They welcome applications from journalists from national and local print, digital, and broadcast outlets, both nonprofit and for-profit news organizations, as well as freelancers. They also welcome applications from universities, nonprofits and documentary filmmakers.
