The Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO) is pleased to announce the Micro Grants programme to support people from communities of identity or experience, based in Greater Manchester, that may struggle to achieve higher levels of mental wellbeing.
Projects
- For your project idea to be eligible:
- The project proposed must benefit one of the following communities:
- Carers
- People from BAME communities
- People living with long term physical or mental health conditions
- People who identify as LGBTQ+
- Disabled people
- Military veterans
- People who are unemployed
- Socially isolated older people
- Participants of the proposed project must be residents of Greater Manchester (including Glossop).
- The project must be delivered by the end of June 2022.
Funding Information
Micro grants round of £100 – £750.
Eligibility Criteria
For your organisation to be eligible to apply:
- You must be a constituted Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisation operating in Greater Manchester for the benefit of Greater Manchester residents (also includes Glossop).
- Applications from CIC’s will be accepted if they have a minimum of three directors, a membership and an asset lock with a specified organisation named.
- Applications from Companies limited by guarantee will need a minimum of three directors, and within their Articles of Association a statement about their purpose and social impact, a not for profit clause, a director remuneration clause as well as a clause stating that assets will be distributed to another not-for-profit organisation fulfilling similar objects if they dissolve.
- You must have a bank account requiring two signatures in the name of your organisation.
- Your organisation`s income must not have exceeded £50,000 in its most recent full financial year.
- Have a Safeguarding Policy which includes DBS checks if you work with children under 18 and/or vulnerable adults.
- You must be willing to commit to monitoring the project (guidance will be provided) and tell them about it.
