The Australian Government is inviting applications for funding under the Large Grants stream of the Murray–Darling Healthy Rivers Program.
The objectives of the program are to support community-led, on-ground projects to improve the health and ecological condition of rivers and wetlands in the Murray–Darling Basin, whilst also supporting economic development and jobs.
Funding Information
- The Australian Government has announced a total of $20 million GST exclusive over 2 years for the Murray–Darling Healthy Rivers Program.
- Up to $10 million GST exclusive is available for the small grants stream over 2 separate rounds, of which $7,141,058 is available under Round 2.
- Up to $10 million GST exclusive is available for the large grants stream in this round.
- The minimum grant amount is $100,001 GST exclusive.
- The maximum grant amount is $2 million GST exclusive.
Outcomes
The intended program outcomes are:
- improved health and ecological conditions of rivers and wetlands in the Murray–Darling Basin
- improved community involvement in restoring the environmental health of the Murray–Darling Basin
- increased economic activity and employment in Basin communities as a result of grant funding.

- Partnership
