U.S. Embassy Tokyo’s Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to organize a U.S. study tour and exchange program for Japanese journalists focused on maritime security threats.
Objectives
- To promote greater understanding of maritime security threats and how the U.S.-Japan Alliance promotes peace and security in the region.
Funding Information
- Number of awards anticipated: 1 award (dependent on amounts)
- Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $100,000
- Total available funding: $100,000
Priority Region: Japan
Participants and Audiences
- Six to 10 journalists representing regional print media from around Japan.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following organizations are eligible to apply:
- Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/nongovernmental organizations o Public and private educational institutions
- Public international organizations and governmental institutions
- Any applicant listed on the Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) in the System for Award Management (SAM) is not eligible to apply.
