The Noongar Charitable Trust (NCT) is seeking applications for its grant program to provide assistance to the Noongar Community. The Trust aims to support projects run by Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations which offer a direct and noticeable benefit to the Noongar community.
Funding Categories
- Health – to promote health in the community.
- Crisis and Hardship – to provide assistance in a time of urgency.
- Aged – to provide for the needs of the elderly and infirm members of the Noongar community.
- Housing – provide assistance to the community for housing programs.
- Cultural and Heritage (including Traditional Practices) – to provide cultural and heritage benefits to the Community.
- Education, Training and Employment – to improve access to education, training, employment and economic and enterprise development opportunities for Noongar people.
- Children and Youth (0 to 25 years) – to provide for the long term needs of future generations of members of the Community.
Funding Information
- The Noongar Charitable Trust provides grants starting from $5,000 and allocates up to $100,000 per grant round to community projects.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants will be made to incorporated, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations that are based and delivered within Noongar Community.
- Preference is also given to organisations and projects:
- That meets the Charitable Objects and Purposes of the Trust.
- That offers a direct and noticeable benefit to the Noongar community.
- That is supported by the organisation’s local Noongar community.
- That keeps proper accounting records and has, at least, yearly financial statement or reports.
- That has an operational bank account in the organisation’s name.
- Grants are unable to be given to:
- Organisations that fail to submit required documents or information requested by NCT.
- Organisations that have failed to carry out or complete any previous projects funded by NCT.
- Individuals.
- Political organisations or political activities.
