Does your organisation contribute to the visibility of the visual arts and/or heritage on the islands? Or does your organisation have good ideas about the sustainable exchange of knowledge, research, partnerships or professionalising the arts and culture sector? Then you might be eligible to make use of the Caribbean Art Heritage Open Call.
Funding Information
- The Mondriaan Fund is able to grant a fixed amount of €5,000, €10,000 or €20,000. The Mondriaan Fund awards a maximum of 90% of a project’s total costs. The total budget available for this open call is €250,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- This open call is intended for museums, cultural heritage organisations and visual arts institutions in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten.
- Organisations must have as their core activity the development of presentations accessible to the public and/or activity programmes that focus on contributing to the visibility of visual arts and heritage.
- Institutes for creative arts education and post-academic institutions, commercial institutions focussed on sales or sector institutions that do not have a museal function, are not eligible to apply.
- Applications intended to support the construction or establishment of museums, restorations, archaeological excavations, the purchase of objects or partial collections, the digitalisation of collections, or for regular operational expenses and permanent operations are not allowed.
- Cultural institutions in the Caribbean territories of the Kingdom endorse the Fair Practice Code, de Governance Code Cultuur and the Code Diversity & Inclusion.
