The Peabody’s Thamesmead Community Fund is now open for individuals and organisations to deliver cultural or community projects to benefit Thamesmead’s residents.
The money for the fund comes from the fees that Peabody earns through location filming in Thamesmead, and from the Peabody Community Foundation. The Thamesmead Community Fund is run by Peabody, the London Community Foundation, and an advisory group of local residents and stakeholders.
Themes
Applications must be for projects / activities that demonstrate benefits for the wider Thamesmead community and meet one or more of the following themes:
- Increases levels of arts and cultural activity
- Supports educational outcomes for a group
- Brings the community together
- Seeks to improve local health and wellbeing
- Encourages community use of local outdoor spaces
- Supports activities to strengthen children and family relationships
- Help people develop new skills
- Provides local services or activities for older people
Funding Information
- Grants of up to £ 2,000 are available covering costs relating to the proposed project.
Eligibility Criteria
The Thamesmead Community Fund (TMCF) will provide grants for not-for-profit organizations including charities and community organizations, and also for Thamesmead residents aged 16+ who have an existing or new project.
The following not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply:
- Constituted community and resident groups
- Registered charities
- Companies limited by guarantee
- Social enterprises
- Community Interest Companies (CICs) Limited by Guarantee – aol CICs Limited by Shares
- Charitable Incorporated Organizations (CEOs)
