The United Nations Development Program in Bosnia and Herzegovina announces a Public Call for civil society organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina that work in the field of transitional justice, social cohesion and protection of human rights within the regional project “European Union Support for Confidence Building in the Western Balkans”, financed by the European union and implemented by UNDP.

The general goal of the intervention is to increase both responsibility for war crimes in the region and public support for it, as well as strengthening dialogue within societies and between ethnic groups about the crimes committed during the 1990s, all with the aim of achieving sustainable peace in the region and building a more resilient society and stronger social cohesion.

The implementation of the project began on January 1, 2023 and will last for four years. The project will provide professional support to judicial institutions and police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia in the processing of war crimes cases at the national level, improve the conditions for regional cooperation in the processing of these cases, improve the provision of support to victims of war crimes and witnesses.
