Deadline: 9-Dec-22
If your program is committed to hands-on education and teaching young people the specialized skills and knowledge needed to maintain cars, motorcycles and boats, the Restoration, Preservation, Mentorship (RPM) Foundation admires what you’re doing. And they want to help fund it!
The RPM Foundation supports the education and training of the next generation of vehicle restoration and preservation craftsmen and women. RPM safeguards the critical skills necessary to restore and preserve collector vehicles by supporting hands-on training and engaging the next generation.
Priorities
- Their highest priorities today are student apprenticeships, internships, and scholarships. The RPM Foundation does not fund salaries. Equipment/ parts/ materials funding requests must be accompanied by an itemized cost list. Programs with a proven track record of career placement stand the best chance of receiving funding.
Funding Information
An average first-time grant award is about $10,000.
What they’re looking for?
- They are concerned about the future and the fact that fewer young people are learning the trades and skills that will help preserve their heritage. To that end, they help organizations who are dedicated to instructing and training the next generation to restore and preserve vintage cars, motorcycles and boats, as well as providing them with a pathway to careers.
What does RPM Foundation typically fund?
- Today, RPM funds educational programs on the pathway to careers in automotive, motorcycle and marine restoration & preservation. Funding almost always goes to educational institutions or organizations that offer restoration & preservation degree or certificate programs or courses. All grant awardees utilize collector vehicles, motorcycles or wooden boats as teaching tools and provide maximum opportunity for hands-on learning experiences with master craftsmen and artisans.
Eligibility Criteria
- The RPM Foundation does not award grants to individuals. All scholarships and grants must go to educational institutions or non-profit organizations. Please inquire with the educational institutions or organization you are interested in.
- They are particularly interested in supporting programs that are focused on high school and college-age students.
- Each grant request must be accompanied by the following items:
- A copy of your organization’s 501(c)3 status letter from the IRS
- Supporting documentation
