Jewish Women's Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago Grant Program

Deadline: 5 June 2017

The Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues (S/GWI) at the U.S. Department of State announces a funding opportunity for a new initiative “Global Programming Consortium to Advance the Status of Women and Girls” in order to proactively equip civil society and especially locally-based organizations with the capacity, knowledge, and skills to deepen their expertise and influence on Women, Peace and Security (WPS), economic empowerment, and/or gender-based violence prevention and response interventions globally.

The U.S. Strategy aims to increase women’s economic empowerment by enabling women’s access to capital and finance, training, and business opportunities and by promoting women’s entrepreneurship and women’s equal and safe access to employment and wages.
