The Stafford Borough Council Small Grants Programme is now accepting applications from organisations providing facilities or services to residents within the council’s geographical area.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to £1000 are available.
Eligible Costs
- Equipment costs
- Capital costs
- Training costs
- Revenue costs
- Project costs
- Event Costs
Ineligible Costs
- Projects where funding could be obtained from Stafford Borough Council sports grants
- Projects where funding could be obtained from Stafford Borough Council arts grants
- Projects involving medical research
- Projects focused on animal welfare
- Core Costs (This includes staff costs and general running costs).
- Funding towards religious projects or projects that promote religion, (although religious organisations can be funded for non-religious projects)
- Party political activities, (where one particular political party is promoted above another)
Eligible Projects
- Your project must meet one of the following aims;
- Benefit local residents
- Bring about a lasting benefit to your members or the wider community
- Help to increase your organisations sustainability or reach
- To support local people with the cost of living crisis.
Target Beneficiaries
- In order to qualify for a grant from this scheme your project must be supporting the following types of beneficiary;
- People resident in Stafford borough, including Stone and the surrounding villages
- People who are eligible to use locally provided services
- Projects that are working to support local people with the cost of living crisis will also be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
- This programme is able to consider applications from:
- Constituted community groups
- Constituted voluntary groups
- Registered Charities
- Social Enterprises
- The panel will not consider more than one application from the same organisation for each round.
Ineligibility Criteria
- This programme will not offer funding to the following organisations:
- Non-constituted community groups
- Non-constituted voluntary groups
- Organisations that have been established less than 12 months
- Statutory organisations (This includes Parish Council’s).
- Public sector bodies
- Organisations that have a statutory responsibility
- Organisations that do not have a proven track record of service delivery
- Limited companies, sole traders or partnerships without charitable aims
- Organisations with an annual income of more than £1,000,000
Application Requirements
- The following documents must be provided with your application form. If you fail to provide these documents your application will not be considered for funding. All documents should be submitted at the time of application.
- A copy of your governing document, (constitution or Memorandum and Articles of Association)
- A copy of your most recent accounts, (audited or independently examined)
- A recent bank statement, (dated within the last three months clearly showing account number and sort code)
- A copy of your safeguarding policy
- At least three quotes for any capital items
- A copy of your public liability insurance certificate
