The Sweden-Lithuania Cooperation Fund supports the development of promising project ideas and the start-up phase of new projects with a clear development perspective.
The purpose is to strengthen, broaden, renew, and diversify the Swedish-Lithuanian relationships.
Focus Areas
- Exchange and cooperation for network building between young people in Sweden and Lithuania to promote social cohesion, creativity, and ideas for new enterprises.
Grants Information
- Travel grants
- Can be applied for various purposes for travel up to a maximum of five (5) days). Fixed compensation for travel and accommodation.
- Project grants
- Joint development in Lithuania and Sweden, particularly cooperation between young people.
- Media grants
- For articles that present new sides of Sweden and/or Lithuania, appropriate for journalists, editorial offices, and media companies
Funding Information
- Project grants: Maximum amount for one project is 5 000 EUR/50 000 SEK.
Project Period
- You can only apply for funding for activities that take place after you have submitted your application. The project must be finalized within one year from the start date.
Who can apply?
- “Create yours!”
- With this message the Fund invites actors from different fields to create partnerships for Sweden and Lithuania. “Create yours” means that anyone can establish new historical moments between two countries which already have common values – and create platforms for Sweden and Lithuania to exchange experiences and ideas.
- So – eligible to apply are individuals, working groups, associations, organizations, companies, etc. Swedish or Lithuanian citizenship is not a requirement, but you must reside in either of the countries.
- Project Grants – Criteria
- The applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Contribution to development of networks
- Ideas for new enterprises
- Innovations
- Cultural and intellectual exchange
- Bilateral promotion of culture and language
- Social cohesion
- The applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Travel Grants – Criteria
- A travel grant can be applied for various purposes:
- Meeting a possible partner to draft a project plan that has the potential to become a larger cooperation project.
- Research
- Participation in conferences, meetings, and workshops
- Cooperation with a Swedish/Lithuanian colleague.
- Media Grants – Criteria
- The purpose is to vitalize, broaden and renew the interest in Sweden/Lithuania in the respective country.
- Applicants can be both employed and free-lancers.
- The articles/works can be published in newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, podcasts, web-TV, and larger blogs.
- The applicants should provide a sample of previously published work and have a plan for publishing the article in question.
Ineligibility Criteria
- They do not fund:
- Ready-made projects
- School trips, study visits and studies
- Participation in events, eg sporting events, exhibitions etc
- Wages are granted only in exceptional cases
