The Robertson Trust is currently seeking applications for its Wee Grants.
A constituted community group is a community group that has a constitution and charitable aims, but is not registered as a charity or registered with any other regulatory body.
Constituted community group: A group of people who come together to work toward a common agreed charitable purpose. The group is run on a voluntary basis and is set up as an organisation with a management committee, constitution and a bank account in its own name. The group is not registered as a charity or with any other regulatory body.
People affected by poverty and trauma

They are particularly interested in funding those who work with the following groups of people, who they know are more likely to experience poverty or trauma:
- Certain family groups (larger families, single parents, those with care-experienced children)
- Women
- People with a disability
- People from a BAME background
- Asylum seekers and refugees
- People experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage
- People living in certain geographical locations (particularly remote and rural ones)
- Older people
- Young people under 25
Funding Information
- For constituted community groups and charities with an annual income of less than £25,000
- Funding of up to £2,000 for one year only
- Could cover revenue or capital costs to support your work
- Decision within 8 weeks.
Who they fund?
- Currently, their funding is aimed at constituted community groups and registered charities who are working to alleviate poverty and trauma in Scotland, and who have an annual income of under £2 million.
What they fund?

They provide funding for organisations and initiatives that address:
- Financial wellbeing: tackling the financial and material effects of poverty on people and communities
- Emotional wellbeing and relationships: ensuring people have emotional wellbeing, and confidence and strength in their relationships with others
- Educational and work pathways: equipping people for the future by supporting learning and skills
Who can’t apply?
- Organisations who are already in receipt of funding from them, whether this is a Wee Grant or one of the other funds
- Organisations who distribute funding to third parties, including to individuals in the form of grants or bursaries
- Umbrella organisations, for example those who coordinate the activities of member organisations and don’t directly deliver activities.
- They cannot accept applications from Community Interest Companies, Limited Companies and Community Benefit Societies which are not registered charities.
