Tilitonse Foundation launches Call for Proposals on Strengthening Urban Governance and Management in Malawi

Tilitonse Foundation has allocated limited financial resources to call for applications from registered CSOs and non-state actors for a Thematic Call on Urban Governance and Management in Malawi.

This Thematic Call focuses on innovative projects that are specifically designed to strengthen capacity of urban governments to promote citizen centered governance and development planning and create an empowered active citizenry.

The ultimate goal of this initiative would be: to create an alliance of CSOs with other partners that can share knowledge and skills on urban governance and management in Malawi; engage with relevant actors; promote national dialogue among actors on matters of urban development planning and institutional frameworks for community citizen centered planning; and advocate for institutional changes in urban development planning and galvanise urban citizens of all levels (poor peri-urban citizens, the affluent, business persons, the middle class, private sector) to take part in the activities of their council.

Eligible projects under this call may be new or those that seek to build on existing projects in any of the three areas described below:

Funding Information

This call will give a maximum grant of one hundred and thirty thousand Euros (€130,000.00).

Project Duration

Tilitonse Foundation will support projects that will run for a maximum of eight months (8 months) beginning 1st July 2019.
