The Torbay Community Development Trust has announced the applications for its Investment Fund to support voluntary sector organizations, community groups, or social enterprises with projects or schemes that can help to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes of people living in Torbay.
Torbay Council wants to work with the voluntary and community sector in a new way and build a different relationship with local people by building on the strengths and assets that each community has to enhance the way in which everyone works together, and have provided funding for this grants scheme to be managed by the Torbay Health and Wellbeing Voluntary Sector Network and administered by Torbay Community Development Trust on their behalf.
The Torbay Health and Wellbeing Voluntary Sector Network is managing the CIF grants scheme, supported by Torbay Community Development Trust- who will administer the Fund on their behalf and report to Torbay Council against the agreed scheme outcomes and envisaged benefits.
Priorities
Your project or scheme must meet one or more of these seven priorities:
- Support adults experiencing loneliness and Isolation
- Support adults experiencing financial hardship
- Support those at risk of homelessness
- Support their communities to maintain and promote good mental health
- Support Digital access and inclusion
- Support strengths based development in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector and their neighbourhoods
- Support potential and actual victims of Domestic Abuse
Funding Information
The Community Investment Fund has £90,000 available to fund projects or ideas that meet the priorities set out in this guidance. Three bands of grant awards are available and you must state in your application which band you are applying for:
- Up to £5,000
- Up to £10,000
- Up to £20,000
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the funding you must be a voluntary sector organisation, community group or social enterprise. This includes faith groups.
- The bid or project must have an inclusive approach.
- The project must take place within Torbay. This can be across all of Torbay, within one of the three specific towns or at a neighbourhood level.
- Your idea, project or scheme will need to support the health and wellbeing of people or meet a clear need or gap in the community.
- Expansion of existing projects which are successfully impacting upon the local community will be considered.
- Your idea, project or scheme MUST meet one or more of the priorities.
- They welcome innovation and creativity.
