The U.S. Embassy Copenhagen of the U.S. Department of State has announce an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a symposium on identifying disinformation and relying on credible sources for information.
Program Objectives: The U.S. Embassy Copenhagen seeks programs for a disinformation symposium in Greenland targeted towards Greenlandic university and high school students. Applicants are encouraged to partner with Greenlandic educational institutions in the implementation of the seminar.
Funding Information
- Total available funding: $50,000
- Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $50,000
- Length of performance period: 1 day to 12 months, ending no later than December 31, 2022.
- Number of awards anticipated: 1-2 awards (dependent on amounts)
- Anticipated program start date: September 1, 2021
Priority Region: Greenland. Inclusion of audiences in Denmark and the Faroe Islands is encouraged but not required.
Participants and Audiences: Experts in the field of identifying and countering disinformation, Greenlandic university and high school students, and journalists/media professionals.

- Public and private educational institutions
- For-profit organizations (only if confirming non-profit status of program)
