U.S. Embassy in Uruguay announces 2020 Cultural and Educational Grants Program

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) at U.S. Embassy Montevideo is now accepting Statements of Interest (SOI) proposals to participate in the embassy’s Small Grants Competition.

U.S. Embassy Montevideo provides funding for programs that support the embassy’s strategic priorities in Uruguay, including enhancing global security; building economic prosperity for the United States and Uruguay; and defending the values of democracy and justice.

Proposed programs should strengthen bilateral ties between the United States and Uruguay and include a clear U.S. connection that will promote increased understanding of the United States among the Uruguayan public.

Proposals should address one or more of the following priority program areas:

Eligible organizations may request up to $25,000 (US dollars). Proposed projects should begin by August and end within 6 months.

Evaluation Criteria

Each application will be evaluated and rated on the basis of the evaluation criteria outlined below. The criteria listed are closely related and are considered as a whole in judging the overall quality of an application.
