U.S. Embassy in Prague, the Czech Republic is currently inviting institutions, organizations and individuals to submit a pre-application for Small Grants Program.
Through the Public Affairs small-grants program, the U.S. Embassy in Prague provides partial support for artistic and cultural performances, educational initiatives and non-governmental organization (NGO) projects whose aim is to promote and deepen the understanding and appreciation of American foreign policy and culture.
Priority Themes
- Democracy, Good Governance, and Rule of law
- Countering Disinformation and Encouraging Media Literacy
- Human Rights, Minority Integration and Strengthening of Civil Society
- Educational Initiatives (English language and American studies)
- Cultural programing (music, dance, film, theatre, photography, art)
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Environment, Science and Technology
- Energy Security
- Gender Equality
Funding Information
Typically, project budgets range from $1,500 to $7,000 and total grant support cannot exceed $10,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only not-for-profit entities and projects will be considered for funding. Individuals are eligible to apply.
- Budgets must not exceed $10,000.
- Institutions and individuals must have a proven track record of executing superior events, workshops, programs, etc.
- Proposals must be focused on audiences in the Czech Republic.
- Proposals must focus on one or more of the Embassy’s priority themes and initiatives (mentioned above). Note: The embassy does not provide awards outside of our funding priorities.
