Deadline: 11-Aug-21
To create greater student interest in U.S. universities, this project will create a library of short videos featuring Indian students at or graduates from U.S. universities with inspiring content on the benefits of U.S. higher education. The videos will provide practical information about studying in the United States for a primary audience of Indian students looking to study abroad who have not made a decision on the destination. The videos will be promoted for three to six months on a trendy social-media platform, like Instagram, popular among youth and in particular, the project audience detailed below. The goal is to inspire this audience to choose the United States as the country in which to pursue higher education.
- To increase the number of Indian students selecting the United States for higher education.
- This project goal directly ties into one of Mission India’s integrated country strategy objectives: increasing U.S. export of goods and services to India and Indian investment into the United States.
- Finalize and collect 100 short videos of students and alumni and leverage their networks on social media to promote this content over a three month period. Provide free access to this library of videos for mutually agreed upon number of audience/prospective students. The content should convince Indian students to choose the United States, and could include content on understanding the value of a U.S. education – the best schools, diverse and safe campuses, best research facilities and practical training opportunities, access to professional networks and connections with diverse cultures.
- Reach mutually agreed upon number of peers and followers of these 100 videos/individuals’ networks and other Embassy linked social media followers with credible and accurate information on U.S. higher education and immigration policies linked to studying in the United States.
- Report change in audience understanding on U.S. higher education and immigration policies through pre and post program surveys.
