UN Women is accepting applications from Non-Governmental Organization, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and academic or professional associations for Policy and political party advocacy for women’s inclusion and elections observation training on VAWIE/P.

Under the Promoting Inclusive Political Participation and Elimination of Violence Against Women in Politics project:

UN Women is putting forth a call for proposal to identify and select one partner (a consortium is encouraged) to implement this project and deliver on project activities as reflected in this Call for Proposals. Implementing partner(s) will be responsible for designing and delivering project activities across 15 counties. They strongly encourage joint proposals from consortia that have presence and influence to deliver the results for quick impact in the target counties.

The Promoting Inclusive Political Participation and Elimination of Violence Against Women in Politics project has the overall outcome of increased women’s participation in elections, politics, public life, and peace building mechanisms. It will strengthen coordination of peace building, governance, and elections processes and stakeholders with a focus on greater participation of women in these processes – from the community to the national level.

It aims to achieve more effective prevention and response to VAWiE/P by building an enabling environment for women’s safe and free participation in politics and public life.  It promotes inclusive political participation and elimination of VAWIE/P, to increase women’s free and safe participation in elections and women’s representation.

Funding Information

The budget range shall be between $130,000 – 142,000 United States Dollars.
