UNDP has announced a Call for Proposals to strengthen partnership relations between civil society organizations and the City of Bihać by building awareness of the usefulness of mutual cooperation in order to jointly contribute to improving the position of young people in the area of the City of Bihać.
Priorities
- Within the consultative process, seven thematic areas were prioritized:
- Support activities for designing entertainment, educational and cultural content for young people within youth centers and social spaces for young people in the City of Bihać
- Support for the design of entertainment for young people through the arrangement of public spaces and the drawing of buildings with murals (with the approval of the authorities).
- Support for the organization of sports activities with a focus on the promotion of recreational sports for young people
- Support for the organization of youth volunteer actions for the reconstruction and adaptation of sports fields and playgrounds for young people
- Support for activities for psychosocial assistance to young people (preventive work) and advocacy for systemic improvement of the position of young people in the City of Bihać
- Support for the involvement of young people in volunteer activities with a special focus on the environment
- Support for the activities of greater mobility of young people in the area of the City of Bihać (organization of transport for young people from the outskirts of the City of Bihać in order to ensure the availability of content for young people from rural areas).
Funding Information
- The value of project proposals to be awarded under this call must be between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- Minimum amount: 10,000.00 KM
- Maximum amount: 20,000.00 KM.
- Duration: The duration of projects can be from four to eight months, in the period from April to November 2023.
Location: Projects must be implemented exclusively in the area of the City of Bihać and for young people living in the area of the City of Bihać.
Unauthorized Expenses / Activities
- The following activities will not be funded as part of project proposals under this public call:
- Sponsorships for individuals to participate in workshops, seminars, conferences, congresses, studies and trainings;
- Occasional conferences (unless they are necessary for the successful implementation of the project);
- Purchase of equipment and/or reconstruction or rehabilitation works (unless necessary for the successful implementation of the project
- Financing of projects that are already underway or have been completed;
- Projects for the benefit of individuals, i.e. projects that have no significance for the wider social community;
- Projects supporting political parties;
- Allocation of humanitarian aid (humanitarian packages, direct financial or material aid, etc.);
- Acquisition of used equipment;
- Awarding monetary rewards to participants/users in the project during or after the project;
- Awarding grants to third parties;
- Projects that include certain health services that are already covered by the health care system.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participation in this public call is open, on equal grounds, to all formally registered civil society organizations (CSOs) (association/association or foundation) in accordance with the applicable legal regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina who have experience in implementing projects for young people and who operate in the area of the City of Bihać.
- Potential applicants cannot participate in the call or receive grants if they do not submit a signed and scanned statement of eligibility with the project proposal.
- This public call is not open to branches of foreign and international associations, foundations and other non-profit organizations registered and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Applicants will be excluded from participation in the call or from the awarding of grants if, at the time of the call for submission of project proposals, they are:
- Subjects of conflict of interest;
- Guilty of providing false information to the authorized party for contracts, which is required as a prerequisite for participating in the call for project proposals or if they have not provided the necessary information;
- Tried to obtain confidential information, influenced the evaluation committee or the authorized party for contracts during the evaluation process of the call for submission of project proposals.
