UNDP is now looking for a legal entity to develop and disseminate Women’s leadership story.
The KOICA-funded project ‘Promoting gender equality in public decision-making and women’s empowerment in Mongolia’ will be implemented by UNDP from 2021 – 2024, coinciding with the 2024 elections. The project aims to contribute to gender equality in decision-making by implementing a range of activities under six outputs, including:
- Strengthening the legal environment,
- Strengthening support networks for women aspirant candidates,
- Expanding the profile and number of women eligible for public decision-making, and
- Improving gender awareness among voters, political parties, and the media.
Under the objective of supporting women aspirant candidates and raising awareness among key stakeholders, the project is seeking the services of a media institution to produce and disseminate a series of video and written content highlighting women’s leadership in diverse sectors. The content must be engaging and appealing to target audiences and spotlight current and aspiring women leaders’ stories of success and positive change.
Scope of Work
- Develop and implement content development, production, and dissemination plan as per the agreed upon topic, scope, and schedule in consultation with the UNDP project team;
- Produce and disseminate 60 video content of up to 60 aspiring and current women leaders utilizing storytelling techniques and engaging narratives and formats tailored to each leader;
- Produce and disseminate 60 written content of up to 60 aspiring and current women leaders highlighting their professional and personal achievements, challenges, and aspirations;
- Produce and disseminate 120 posters of aspiring and current women leaders that can be shared further via online and social media channels;
- Dissemination channels must include social media/Facebook channels with over 100,000 followers with predominantly younger audience;
- All produced and disseminated content must be in compliance with branding requirements set by the UNDP project team and must be able to be disseminated via the project’s tentsuu.mn platform;
- Track, monitor, and report on the dissemination and reach of all content produced and disseminated (engagement statistics) under the contract per UNDP M&E requirements;
- In providing the services, the media institution must remain non-partisan, consistently uphold and promote the project’s core messages, avoid any reputational risks to UNDP and the project, and be flexible if there are any changes required in the implementation plan and timeline based on any contextual/socio-political developments.
Expected main outputs:
- 60 video content, 60 written content, and 120 posters produced and disseminated via a social media/Facebook channel with over 100,000 followers + tentsuu.mn;
- Three separate dissemination reports produced and submitted to UNDP per M&E guidance;
- Archive and submit all produced contents to UNDP in an appropriate format along with relevant detail of archive materials.
Eligibility Criteria
- Requirements for the legal entity:
- Be a legal entity with at least 5 years of experience in the Mongolian media sector;
- Proven experience with publishing and disseminating creative human interest stories (in both video and written formats) targeting younger audiences on social media and online channels;
- Full access to and experience with relevant equipment and technologies and master command of graphic design software packages.
- Qualification requirements for team leader/producer:
- University degree in communications, journalism, and/or other related fields;
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and leading similar assignments and projects with a focus on creative content development for younger audiences;
- At least 5 years of experience in audio-visual product and content development, content management, and message development;
- Good command of English language.
- Qualification requirements for 2 editors/journalists:
- University degree in journalism, communications, and/or other related fields;
- At least 5 years of experience in working as a journalist and editor specializing in preparing human interest stories with focus on gender and human rights via print and online news and social media;
- Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills and an excellent portfolio;
- Good command of English language.
- Qualification requirements for operator/photographer:
- Degree in arts, camera operator, photographer or another field combined with relevant work experience;
- At least 5 years of extensive knowledge and professional experience in working as a camera operator, filming or their respected field;
- Proficient with video shooting, filming, and working with different forms.
- Qualification requirements for graphic designer:
- Degree in arts, communications, digital marketing, graphic design or another field combined with relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years of extensive knowledge and professional work experience in their respected field: in PR management, filming, writing, editing, animation, audiovisual production, graphic designing, video editing and etc;
- Proficient with video editing software and working with different formats, master command of graphic design software packages.
