The U.S. Embassy London is inviting proposals to develop and implement a 10-day reporting tour for up to five (5) program participants representing a UK-based journalism training organization to the United States.

Objective: The objective of this program is to expose a diverse group of student/trainee journalists to American issues and themes including climate change, post-COVID economic recovery, disinformation, U.S. journalism and press freedom, diversity in the United States, and American governmental systems.
This program will take place over British university holidays in April 2022. The successful applying organization will be responsible for developing promotional and application materials and handling all program logistics, including collection of candidates’ applications, international and domestic travel, lodgings, and ground transportation costs, as well as a full agenda of engagements with relevant U.S. organizations. Participants should travel to cities representing the geographic and cultural diversity of the United States. Cities may include Washington, DC; New York City, New York; Atlanta, Georgia; and/or other suitable locations. Participants would meet with federal, state, and local officials, government agencies, civil society groups, and U.S.- based journalists.
