United Kingdom: The Edward Wood Fund

The Community Foundation for Staffordshire’s Edward Wood Fund is now open to support individuals who are hearing impaired up to the age of 19 years old.

Small grants are available to support projects that would be unobtainable through statutory organisations. The fund is available to people resident in Stoke on Trent and those who have been educated in Stoke-on-Trent.

Support is available for the following: needs not normally met by statutory bodies or agencies such as local education authorities, health or social services; Education or social visits, meetings or excursions that bring young people together; provision of specialist equipment or software; learning support materials; support for specific activities for individuals which promote opportunities for inclusion and extended learning. Initial support for a hearing-impaired student applying for a course of higher education may also be considered.

You can apply for a grant of up to £500.
