UONGOZI Institute is seeking proposals for its Leadership in Africa Research Grants with an aim to support the Institute’s efforts to undertake studies whereby researchers, both local and international will explore and understand the many dimensions of leadership development and practice in postcolonial Africa, thus contributing towards building a body of knowledge on leadership in Africa.
The relationship between the cultural context and leadership consist of two different levels of analysis. These are:
- the relationship between organizational culture and leadership
- the relationship between national/subnational culture and leadership.
Grant Information
The ceiling amount of 40,000 United States Dollars.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants are open to researchers based at African institutions, and internationally that partner with African researchers.
- Applicants should have a Research Degree (Master’s based on research, MPhil) or PhD with not less than five years of post-degree experience.
- Applicants are expected to hold demonstrable writing skills and expertise relevant to the research theme.
