US funding to engage and raise awareness of Alliance Youth on NATO

European Commission Request for Proposals: Expanding Investments Ecosystems

Deadline: 09-Aug-21

The Office of the Public Affairs Advisor (PAA) at the U.S. Mission to NATO (USNATO) announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to engage and raise awareness of Alliance youth on NATO.

Program Objectives

NATO’s purpose, to guarantee that the Alliance’s territory and populations remain safe, secure, free and prosperous, relies on ensuring that citizens in Allied countries understand and support NATO’s mission. Among the populations most concerned with the increasingly complex security environment are new generations. Their understanding of NATO’s roles and functioning mechanisms is key to strengthening this unique transatlantic bond and to continuing to guarantee protection through credible defense.

USNATO PAA encourages project proposals with the goal of raising youth awareness on NATO’s importance in ensuring security, peace and stability and the promotion of democratic values. Successful proposals will include ideas to inform, educate and engage youth, university students, future leaders and policymakers on NATO’s history, roles and working mechanisms.
